God's Plan of Salvation
Are You 100% Sure That You Are On Your Way To Heaven?

The Bible says that you can have assurance of your salvation – I John 5:13 “These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life…”

Getting to heaven does not depend on church membership, baptism, or being a good person. In order to get to heaven you must be born again. John 3:7 Jesus said to Nicodemus “Ye must be born again.” The Bible gives us the way to be born again which means salvation.

Realize you are a sinner. Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” Because you are a sinner you must Realize you deserve to be punished for your sin. Romans 6:23 “For the wages (payment) of sin is death.” This includes an eternal separation from God forever in Hell. Hebrews 9:27 “It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.”
Realize God’s love for you. God loves you so much that He sent His only Son to die pay the penalty for your sin and die in your place. II Corinthians 5:21 says: “…He hath made Him (Jesus, Who knew no sin) to be sin for us….that we might be made the righteousness of god in Him.” When Jesus shed His blood to die on the cross He was showing His love for you. Romans 5:8 “But God commendeth (demonstrated) His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” While we don’t understand just how it happened, God said that all of your sins were laid upon Jesus Christ as He died in your place as your substitute.
Realize you must repent of your sin. Acts 17:30 says “God…commandeth all men everywhere to repent.” Repentance is a change of mind that leads to a change of life. Agreeing that God is right about who you are and agreeing with what Jesus did for you on the cross.
Realize you must believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. Acts 16:30-31 “… ‘Sirs, what must I do to be saved?’ And they said, ‘Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved….’” Believe that you are a sinner. Believe that you deserve to be punished for your sin. Believe that God loves you very much. Believe that when you repent of your sin and trust in Christ that He will save you. Jesus died, was buried, and rose again. This assures that any person can claim everlasting life when Jesus is received as Saviour. Romans 10:13 “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
You can call upon God by sincerely and simply praying this prayer: Dear Jesus, I know that I am a sinner. I know that I deserve to be punished for my sin. I realize the love that you have for me. I repent of my sin; I turn to you to place my trust for salvation. Please forgive me of my sin, come into my life, and save my soul. Thank you for dying in my place and rising again for me. I receive you now as my Saviour and Lord of my life. In Jesus name, Amen.

God’s plan of salvation is simple – no church, lodge, works, or efforts can take you to heaven – only Jesus. John 1:12 “But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name.” If you have sincerely and by faith just receive Christ as your Saviour we want to welcome you to the family of God. Now that you are part of the family it is important to come to church to learn more about God and His Word. Please join us soon for a service at Pleasantville Baptist Church.
